Twenty six ewe lambs (Texel x Corriedale), with 4 to 5 months of age, were used to evaluate the effect of leaves of banana tree (Musa spp.) to control of gastrointestinal nematodes, through eggs counting feces/gram (EPG). Treatments consisted of a negative control; and groups of ewe lambs intake fresh leaves of banana tree with 0.40 to 0.80% and with 0.81 to 1.20% of live weight per day, for three consecutive days, and this process was repeated after 15 days. Fecal samples were collected before and 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th and 14th days after feeding banana tree of sheeps. The mean values of reducing EPG were 3.5, 27.6 and 46.7%, respectively. Superior result (P<0.05) was detected in ewe lambs with highest leaf intake.
