A necessidade de atualização da tradução de "Arte como procedimento", de Viktor Chklóvski

Esse trabalho pretende fazer um histórico seguido de uma análise comparativa de traduções para o português brasileiro do clássico ensaio “Arte como procedimento” (1917), de Viktor Chklóvski. O estudo tomará por base traduções disponíveis em português, comparando-as entre si e com o original russo. Apesar de já existirem traduções diretas recentes que buscaram repensar a tradução do conceito central do texto (ostranênie), é possível perceber que a tradução realizada a partir de uma das edições francesas do texto ainda é muito influente nas discussões sobre o Formalismo Russo no contexto dos estudos literários no Brasil. Portanto, é intendido apontar a importância de atualização das traduções de textos canônicos da teoria literária tendo em vista uma maior precisão terminológica e, consequentemente, um refinamento da compreensão dos conceitos e ideias propostas pela Escola Formal. Buscaremos problematizar a tradução e o papel do tradutor, apontando para possíveis consequências da tradução indireta para o entendimento do conceito de ostranênie.
