Abstract

The Centre of Excellence in Tourism of the University of Brasilia (CET / UNB) in partnership with the National Fund for Education Development (Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação - FNDE - MEC) has been developing since 2012 with the project “Educando com a Horta Escolar e a Gastronomia (PEHEG)”. The project is inserted in others educational activities of the National School Nutrition Programme (Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar - PNAE) and focuses on food and nutrition education and all that it entails, from nutrition pleasure of eating, through cultivation, preparation and sustainability of food and the environment. Through this project training has being promoted for dietitians, school food coordinators, pedagogic coordinators, representatives from the environmental and garden and representatives of the Board of School Food municipalities and states (PEHEG) enrolled in the years 2012 and 2013. To all the people involved in the training is given the responsibility of acting as multipliers of the project in public schools in their place of origin. Thus, PEHEG has sought to contribute to the change in values and behavior in relation to food and the environment by entering the garden gastronomy axes as generators of pedagogical practice.
