This paper defines Web 2.0, collaborative learning and learner autonomy to integrate the use of translation in the TEFL classroom. Furthermore, it provides proper support to carry out an online project to foster translation skills and learner autonomy, as well as cultural-linguistic mediation as stated by the Common European Framework of Reference. In order to achieve this goal, the activities proposed by Cantero Serena e Arriba García (2004) were adapted herein to be used online.
