Abstract

The study examines, from a historical perspective, the influence of German law in Brazilian law. Observable fact that since the colonial time, considering the influence of the Portuguese Ordinances. Emphasis is given to the influence of German constitutionalism, in particular the Constitution of the Weimar Republic (1919) on the Brazilian Constitutions from 1935 and 1988.
