REFLECTIONS ON TEACHING THE CONCEPTS OF SPACE, TIME AND VELOCITY THROUGH THE SONG PARABOLICAMARÁ BY GILBERTO GIL

Abstract

We present a proposal to introduce the concept of average speed under the bias of CienciArte through a pedagogical intervention, applied in an emergency remote teaching context resulting from the scenario of the covid-19 pandemic, in which we use the song Parabolicamará, by Gilberto Gil, with the aim of promoting a discussion about concepts and magnitudes such as time, space, velocity, trajectory and referential. Students were offered a reflection on the historical evolution of means of transport and communication, from the time of the great navigations, passing through the routes of the black diaspora and reaching the present day. We seek, in this way, to present a proposal that goes against the traditional teaching and learning methodologies of kinematics that, historically, are characterized by the excessive appreciation of mathematization, the memorization of equations and the resolution of many exercises, commonly decontextualized from the experience and the experience. students' daily lives.
