Abstract

We propose a didactic sequence to teach electrical circuits based on the Ausubel’s Meaningful Learning Theory applied through experimental activities performed using low cost materials. The results obtained with the application of the sequence in several High School classes of our institution are presented and discussed. These results indicate that the sequence may be useful in promoting meaningful learning. For its simplicity and practicality, the sequence may be applied in the most diverse school realities.
