THE INTERRELATION BETWEEN CONSTITUTION AND SOCIETY

The present paper aims to understand the interrelation between Society and Constitution based on three theoretical models developed around research at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) that dialogue with each other. This research began with Menelick de Carvalho Netto and unfolded for professors Marcelo Cattoni and David Gomes. We will, therefore, go through the main points of the theories developed by each author, highlighting the commonalities and differences between them, in order to understand how their ideas dialogue and seek to understand definitions of Modernity, modern Constitution and, especially, the relations of the Constitution with Society and its points of tension.
