Agroecology as a transdisciplinary science, social practice, and political movement, draws upon hybrid disciplines and processes of knowledge co-production to integrate its ecological–technical-productive, social, cultural, and economic dimensions of local development, and its political dimension of social transformation. With ethics as a key transversal component across all these aspects, agroecology is capable of operating on spatial scales ranging from individual agricultural plots to the global sphere, employing transition strategies aimed at achieving ever-higher levels of environmental, social, economic, and political sustainability...
