From the uterus to earth: Encounter of bodies that menstruate in an agroecological herbs garden.

We seek to analyze the impacts of the construction of an agroecological herb garden on the lives of people who menstruate, residing in the Renascer Community, located in Piracicaba, SP. Narrative collection was carried out during community visits, semi-structured interviews and conversation circles. From the sharing in the meetings and the construction of the garden, we observed the changes in relation to the land, with these bodies that menstruate, in relation to the cycle, food and self-care practices. We observed the intrinsic relationship between knowledge shared between generations, given the ecofeminist perspective and the way in which the participants began to give new meaning to the occupation of space and the use of herbs, including questions about the absence of public health services, emphasizing the relationship between oppression and degradation of the environment, broken by patriarchy, in the act of caring for the earth related to the act of caring for itself (and each other).
