Abstract

The graduation speech delivered by the first Distance Learning (DL) class of the Physics course at the University of Brasília (UnB) marks a historic moment in the democratization of science education. This article analyzes the speech in the context of the pedagogical proposal of the course and the social impact of DL in Physics. The speech celebrates the achievements of the class, while also highlighting the challenges and opportunities presented by this modality. It is a powerful reminder that DL can be a force for educational innovation, capable of bringing high quality training to anyone who seeks it, regardless of geographical or time constraints.
