Abstract

Teaching in the twenty-first century is an exciting and challenging task. The ample access to information is within the reach of many, and a great number of the young people who populate our classrooms have that reach. Therefore, the educator of the new century recognizes that it is not enough to have access to information, we must know what to do with it. Teachers certainly realize the importance of their work in the education of thousands of young people, but does he recognize its importance to their peers? Teachers have been adopting new strategies in the classroom and realize the difference they make every day in the teaching/learning process. Do they recognize the importance and the potential impact of the exchange of experiences and collective learning on the constant innovation of their pedagogical practice? Do they recognize how inspiring these connections are? That is what drove the foundation of the Google Educators Group - Brasilia (GEG - Brasilia), to foster pedagogical collective intelligence and develop new skills in the classroom by means of practical examples, helping colleagues carry out positive transformations in the classroom. This article presents the results of a year's work of the GEG Brasilia, hoping that it encourages more teachers to co-construct and collaborate to achieve significant improvements to their students' learning experiences.
