Interview and tribute to Francisco Capuano Scarlato. Geography and life in the metropolis

This interview integrates vol. 5, no. 10 of PatryTer, which pays tribute to Professor Francisco Capuano Scarlato for his dedication and contribution to Geography since 1964, that is, they will celebrate six decades together with the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences, Department of Geography of the University of São Paulo (FFLCH-DG-USP). The interview was conducted at his residence, on Joaquim Eugenio de Lima street, across Paulista Avenue, Jardins neighborhood, São Paulo, on July 11, 2022. At 83 years of age, Professor Scarlato (figure 1) demonstrates his intellectual vigor, critical reading of the world and clairvoyance, typical of those who continue their primary existential teaching mission.
