Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The contributions destined to the sections "In defense of the research", "Dossier", "Walking Words" and/ or "Generating Themes", the authors express that the work is original and/or unpublished, except in the case of item 2.1 of the Guidelines for authors or sections that do not require these criteria.
- The authors state that the work is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, it undertakes to justify in "Comments to the editor".
- Upon completion of the submission, the authors express that they have read the About the Journal page and agree with the InSURgence Journal’s policies regarding Peer Review Process, Copyright, Free Access, Retraction and Archiving.
- Upon completion of the submission, the authors declare that they have read and are in agreement with the Declaration of Ethics in the Publications of the InSURgence Journal, and declare to have contributed significantly to the manuscript, according to items 17 and 18 of the Guidelines of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development - CNPq, of 12 April 2012.
- Upon completion of the submission, authors authorize the publication of submitted documents, taking responsibility for their authorship and/or their rights of use, and agree that, in case of publication, this will be carried out under a Creative Commons License Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International.
- The authors are aware that, in case of verification at any time of ethical conflicts, plagiarism, redundant publications, use of materials without rights of use, infringement of copyright or absence of declaration of conflicts of interest by the authors, the InSURgence Journal reserves the right to retract publications based on the guidelines developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics - COPE.
- The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors. In case of scientific article, the submitted file follows the "model available for the sections "Dossier", "In defense of research" and "Walking Words". In case of review and short articles, the submitted file follows the template provided for the sections "Return Notebook" and "Generating themes". In case of interview, the submitted file follows the template provided for the section “Insurgent Dialogs".
- The submission does not contain cross citations or self-citation at excessive or predatory levels.
- All elements that allow the identification of the authors were removed from the text and file. The username has been removed in "Document Properties", MS Word "File" menu option. To ensure the complete removal of personal information, follow the steps here.
- The texts informed in the submission system should not use upper case, with the exception of observing the rules of the ABNT (Brazilian National Standards Organization) for the preparation of the References. Titles should be inserted in full in the "Title" field, and the fields "Prefix" and "Subtitle" should be disregarded.
- The names of all co-authors were informed, as well as the data "Institution/Affiliation", "Summary of Biography" (containing at least the description of the highest academic degree) and "ORCID ID" in their records.
- It should be completed and attached in the submission system or sent to the email «insurgencia.revista@ipdms.org.br» the file "authorship data form".
- I declare, under the terms of the Brazilian General Law for the Protection of Personal Data, that I agree with the processing of my personal data informed in this submission for the purpose of possible publication of a scientific or academic work in the InSURgence Journal.
InSURgent dialogues
This is a section dedicated to publishing interviews with researchers and activists who have relevance to the relationship between rights and social movements. The interview section of the IPDMS magazine is a tribute to the popular lawyer Miguel Pressburger, rescuing, in its name, the proposal of an insurgent praxis for law.

Dossier
It is a section dedicated to organizing, from a theme chosen for a particular edition of the magazine, a debate related to specific areas of the general theme rights and social movements.

In defense of research
It is a section dedicated to socializing research, essays and free articles that, in critical key, contribute to the construction of reflections and proposals related to the theme of rights and social movements. The free articles section of the IPDMS magazine is a tribute to the writer and militant Patrícia Galvão (Pagu), rescuing in its name the title of an essay written for the edition of October 26, 1945 of the weekly Vanguarda Socialista.

Walking Words
It is a section dedicated to disseminate pressing debates of critical thinking, legal or not, at the international level, with a special focus on the theoretical production of Latin America and giving opportunity for dialogues with researchers in the field of law and social movements. The section of debates based on international articles in the IPDMS magazine is a tribute to the Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano, recovering, in his name, the title of his book Walking Words, which expresses the oppressions and the magic of the Latin American continent.

Generating Themes
It is a section dedicated to encourage the elaboration of texts that, without losing their rigor with research, allow the dissemination of syntheses about expressions, concepts or institutes, which have multiple interpretations or meaning, concerning the general theme that relates rights and social movements. The articles section of the IPDMS magazine is a tribute to popular educator Paulo Freire who included, in his pedagogical proposal, generating themes to be worked together with the consciousness of the popular classes.

Return Notebook
It is a section dedicated to critical interpretations, through reviews, recent or classic publications of texts and books of interest within the theme rights and social movements. The review section of the IPDMS magazine is a tribute to the Martinican writer and politician Aimé Césaire who, as a poet of negritude, wrote Notebook of a Return to My Native Land, a poem of redemption of black identity and criticism of colonialism.
