The dissonant chord of Gonçalo M. Tavares: mythology, absurdity and banality in O Diabo
Abstract
Publicado no Brasil em 2025, O Diabo, de Gonçalo M. Tavares, inscreve-se no terceiro movimento da série Mitologias, um projeto literário que funde fábula, filosofia e crítica social, revigorando o mito com as angústias do presente. Neste volume, o escritor português reconfigura o simbólico e o narrativo para compor um universo onde a lógica da técnica suplanta a do humano, e o mal, destituído de teatralidade, opera silencioso, maquinal, cotidiano. Trata-se de uma obra inquietante, que articula fragmentos densos num corpo textual dissonante, exigindo do leitor não só atenção, mas entrega. É literatura que provoca, sacode e desmonta.
