Esse trabalho compara aspectos do processo formativo da literatura brasileira com outras literaturas ocidentais, no Velho Mundo e no Novo, e examina certas especificidades da nacionalidade brasileira, procurando identificar seus efeitos nos conceitos candidianos de formação e de sistema literário, e mostrar que a hipertrofia do recorte da nação limita a aplicabilidade desses conceitos em outros contextos.Riferimenti bibliografici
