Abstract

This article presents the process of creation, consolidation, and expansion of the Quartas Dramáticas project, developed since 2010 at the University of Brasília. The project constitutes a space for artistic, pedagogical, and critical experimentation in which the reading of theatrical texts unfolds into multiple practices—dramatic reading, scenic reading, and reading-as-staging—articulating teaching, research, and extension. The text proposes a theoretical and memorial reflection on the dialogue between Literature and other arts, situating the practice of reading-as-staging as an autonomous aesthetic and epistemological field, in dialogue with authors such as Umberto Eco, Hans-Thies Lehmann, Patrice Pavis, Anne Ubersfeld, Paul Zumthor, Bertolt Brecht, and Augusto Boal. It also introduces the concept of textual proponency, understood as the creative potential inherent to the dramaturgical text, activated through the relationship between reader, actor, and spectator.
