Abstract

Clarice Lispector granted to the journalist Jùlio Lerner a television interview in 1977 in which the writer reveals that she had finished a novel with 13 (thirteen) titles and mentions, among her favorite writings, the chronicle “Mineirinho”, who was murdered with 13 (thirteen) shots. Based on this numerical coincidente, which I consider a latent “proponence” for the comparisons between the two works. I try, in this essay, to think about whether the 13 titles of A Hora da Estrela coulda replace the chronicle´s title. To this end, I used as a guideline and theoretical foundation Benedito Nunes, specifically, the article “The identity game” in which the literary critic argues that three stories come together in the story narrated by Rodrigo S.M.. My objective is to analyse how this combination was already effected in the chronicle published in 1962 and, from this analysis, to provoque reflections so that together we can think about other possible stories in the current Brazilian context.
