Abstract

The present text tries to analyze the representations made about women exhibit on the cartoon The Powerpuff Girls. The theoretical basis includes considerations about the present history, imaginary and social representation as well as gender and feminist studies. The analysis allowed me to find the most basic images related to female characters such as courage/shrewdness/ intelligence and vanity/ extreme elegance/ femininity.
