Abstract

This dossier analyzes the impacts of the pragmatic turn in Sociology, Anthropology, and History. Based on the centrality of practice, experience, and agency, this perspective challenges classical dichotomies such as individual and society, and structure and action. The set of articles discusses both theoretical-methodological foundations, engaging with authors such as Dewey, Bourdieu, Latour, Tarde, Botanski, Thévenot, Kant and others, and empirical applications that demonstrate how actors construct meanings, negotiate identities, and produce situated actions. The dossier highlights the relevance of pragmatist approaches to understanding social and historical dynamics.
