Abstract

This article presents some of the initiatives promoted by the pragmatic-pragmatist turn in the field of historical studies, based on a historical research about the first Peronism in Argentina. First, it addresses the consequences of greater symmetry and pragmatic curiosity in the questions directed at the object of study. Second, it reflects on the concern for creating objectivity through cooperation, closely following the perspective of the actors, their critical competencies, and their ways of producing, maintaining, and transforming what is happening. Finally, it delves into the exercise of reading historical sources to perceive their surface as a space for claims in the present moment of action. As a final reflection, the article proposes revitalizing a trust-based approach to historical research.
