Keywords:
TRANSFORMAÇÃO ECONÔMICA, AMÉRICA LATINAAbstract
This comparative study develop a theoretical-methodological discussion
on the concrete conditions for social change, specifically for change in the capital/
work relationship. Priorizing a regional perspective which analyses internal
as well as external hegemonies and peripheries, the author examines the relationship
between the State and industry, defining the State as a new product of
class relations and, at the same time, a producer of change. The synthesis of
change in Latin America would be found in the establishment of bases for a
mass society and the extraordinary expansion and bureaucratization of State
apparatus, accompanied by emerging social natiional structures.
