Author Guidelines

RIPE is a fully open access journal, which means that all articles are available on the internet to all users immediately upon publication. 

  1. Text format: It must be written in Calibri font size 10 in single space. The page layout must be A4 paper (29.7 x 21 cm), with margins: upper (2 cm), left (2 cm), lower (2 cm), right (2 cm);
  2. The article must have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 25 pages, containing: title / abstract / keywords - in the original language of the work and in English, introduction, methodology, data analysis, discussion of results, conclusions and references. Tables, tables, graphs and illustrations (black and white or color) must be included in the main document, in the sequence in which they appear in the text and written in size 10; The font used must be Calibri, it is highly recommended to use the template to write the manuscript to be submitted respecting the automatic formatting of Word styles.
  3. The abstract (maximum of 250 words) and keywords (maximum of five) of the article, in the original language of the work and in English; Other specifications: the article must be unpublished in Brazil or in other countries, and the inclusion of part or preliminary version of it in the annals of scientific events of any nature is not considered a breach of originality;
  4. The article cannot be submitted for simultaneous evaluation in another journal; The editor may or may not accept the article submitted for publication, according to the editorial policy;
  5. The editor may or may not accept an article after it has been evaluated by the double blind system (Double Blind Review), which guarantees anonymity and confidentiality for both the author (or authors) and the referees;
  6. The editor can suggest changes to the article both in terms of the content of the article and in relation to the adequacy of the text to the rules of writing and presentation;
  7. Articles submitted in Portuguese and English will be accepted. Reviewers will not make corrections;
  8. The article approved for publication will be submitted for final editing and spelling and grammatical review; In the OJS system, adopted by RMS, the author (s) will (will) have the article submission automatically refused by the system if he does not accept the exclusivity, originality and copyright clauses;
  9. The OJS System notes the entry date and steps of the article's evaluation and editing process, and the author (s) can automatically monitor the status of their article through the system;
  10. The editor and / or any individual or institution linked to their collegiate bodies is not responsible for the opinions, ideas, concepts and positions expressed in the texts, as they are the sole responsibility of their author (or authors);
  11. The evaluations are made on standardized evaluation forms, directly on the RMS website, with space for personalized comments, in which they will be sent in a synthetic way, to the author (s) in case of conditional acceptance, corrections or refusal.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
