ABSTRACT  

This article aims to promote a visual poetic reflection on a cartography of a queer body, intersecting individual and social, biological and cultural, and local and global aspects. The poetic works are based on an ancestry test performed using DNA acquired by the artist-researcher. The methodology used in the research is the artist-researcher's autobiographical narrative and cartography. The poetics presented are configured within the field of art and technology, consisting of photo-performances and digital montages organized into a book-body. These works reflect on gender roles, sex, beauty standards, violence, and prejudice. Thus, this book-body should not be seen as a determinant and immutable body, but rather as a body under construction that reflects a moment in time and space.
