The Covid-19 (SARS-COV-2) emergency has affected the tourism industry by imposing restrictions on the movement of people and occupation of environments. Such dynamics posed great challenges to the sector, with enterprises having to adapt abruptly to the new requirements. From the movements to make the sanitary guidelines more flexible, the movements to resume tourism began. However, the pandemic period caused developments that will be perceived in the years to come. Therefore, this theoretical essay aims to discuss the repercussions of this period in what, after the pandemic, can be called post-pandemic. This analysis is carried out in this work focusing on the agrotourism sector, characterized as one of the facets of rural tourism. As the main result of this work, the opportunities for the sector arising from the constitution of a new tourist profile stand out.
