And why now? In search of the subject (lost) of human rights in contemporary Paraguayan thought. A hermeneutical debate

The purpose of this article is to investigate in the work of Paraguayan scholars and academics concepts referring to the subject of human rights within the production carried out since the end of the military dictatorship of General Alfredo Stroessner in 1989 until after the political trial of Fernando Lugo. in 2012. The method used was the analysis of discourse in a hermeneutic perspective, which helped to compile the works making the mentioned temporal cut. The main contribution that is presented is that the academic and intellectual production of the specialists is connected by the past-present, a temporality in which knowledge is produced -and subjects- in the present permanently looking at the past.
