O livro “Pensando a la derecha” (2016) constitui uma síntese realizada por Antonio Zapata sobre a direita política peruana nos dias atuais. A análise é construída, a partir da origem histórica de três tradições de direita no Peru, identificadas com os principais líderes atuais: o aprismo, o clientelismo populista de direita e a direita tecnocrática. Desse modo, desenvove sua argumentação apresentando os diversos elementos caracterizadores da composição político-ideológica dessas três vertentes da direita; as quais, de fato, coexistem.
