The present work aims to analyze how Søren Kierkegaard reconsidered the philosophical problem regarding the proof of God’s existence as a way to transpose the epistemological limits of modern philosophy, thus finding the conditions of possibility for an analysis of human existence. In this sense, the work initially reflects on the presentation of this problem in chapter III of Philosophical Fragments, late highlighting a footnote in which the Danish philosopher approaches this theme from a confrontation with Spinoza. As we tried to demonstrate, Kierkegaard has in view the Kantian and post-Kantian German tradition when developing his reflections, so that his treatment aims to overcome certain impasses in the analysis of human existence that were formally present also in the problem of proof of God’s existence.
