KIERKEGAARD: A PHILOSOPHICAL-RELIGIOUS PROJECT BETWEEN THE ANXIETY AND THE PARADOX

The initial hypothesis of this paper is that The Concept of Anxiety (1844) and Philosophical Fragments (1844), written, respectively, by Vigilius Haufniensis and Johannes Clímacus, both pseudonyms of Søren Kierkegaard, give a cohesive expression of his philosophical-religious project, because in them we find the central axis of what he calls “self-becoming”. Thus, we will seek to demonstrate why these works are such a cohesive expression as well as in what sense it is possible to affirm a philosophical-religious project in Kierkegaard's thought. For this, before we make any considerations about the philosophical-religious project, it will be necessary to understand four terms addressed by the works considered here – from The Concept of Anxiety, those of freedom and anxiety, and from Philosophical Fragments, those of instant and paradox – in order to justify why the claim of such a project is not to elaborate a logical-objective system, but to constitute itself from a subjectivity, which, finally, it will lead us to the conclusion that, for Kierkegaard, the “self-becoming” coincides with the “Christian-becoming”, therefore, with the “free becoming”.
