Metodologias inovadoras para a educação continuada de bibliotecários

The need for continuing education of librarians is discussed as well as the lack of innovative methodologies for this area of library education. A new methodology is described which was applied in a project recently finished; the project was divided in two main phases: 1. diagnosis of the overall situation of the library; 2. Methodologies for promoting the best use of the information available. The main recommendations regarding the failures identified in the first phase of the study is added. A full report is presented on the methodologies adopted for creating a more motivated, secure and better trained librarians for promoting their libraries’ services and products.
