Strategical Information management in a research institute

Considering the super offer phenomenon of science and technological information, the resources restriction to adquire different kind of bases and the restriction to absorption the available information by Centro de Informação Tecnológica do Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas do Estado de São Paulo - CITEC/IPT customers, the strategical information management has been considered by two views: the customers characteristics, the lawsuit for the technological information use and the acquisition of only necessary information to attend the internal (technicists and researchers) and external (companies and industries) customers. In a research institute, the intelligent exploring of bases and the valorization of the products and services offered by an information system are fundamental concerns to adopt tools that will guide to the right evolution, e.g., the technological innovation management for survival and transformation of Brazilian scientific and technological development status quo.
