The objective is to present some reflections on aspects of the manipulation of the human body, transmuted into profit object at the healthcare market in Brazil and Argentina. A literature review on the topics: human body, health market, manipulation, human genome, law and bioethics was carried out, to situate the relationships between them. We used a literature review based on books, magazines, newspapers, internet portals and jurisprudential decisions.
