a possibility of chaining between the ethics of Aristotle and Kant

The aim of this article is to bring together two different ethical models, the Kantian and the Aristotelian, in order to detect some common points based on the idea of self-love. To do this, we will follow a path divided into three stages: first, we will try to understand the concept of "self-love" (φιλαυτία) for Aristotle; then, we will also analyze the notion of "love of self" in Kant; finally, we will try to establish links between the two ways of perceiving love of self. The hypothesis is that the concepts of philautia (φιλαυτία) and Selbstliebe have something in common when they are guided by reason, which brings the possibility of realizing the great importance of this love for moral action.
