I intend in this paper, to introduce the discussion of Plato's Protagoras dialogue about political issues involving democracy and the possibility of virtue to be taught. I will expose the points in which the character Socrates agrees with Protagoras and the aspects that he disagrees. Moreover, I will explain important concepts such as 'justice' and 'shame' that occur in the dialogue, and to show how the Platonic version of the Promethean myth contributed to the history of political philosophy.
