Abstract

Lucrécia D’Alessio Ferrara holds a Ph.D. in Brazilian Literature from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) and a “Livre-Docênte” from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at Universidade de São Paulo (USP). She is a professor emeritus at PUC-SP and a retired full professor at USP. She is currently a full professor at the Graduate Program in Communication and Semiotics at PUC-SP and leader of the Space-Visuality / Communication-Culture Research Group (ESPACC). His study interests are focused on the epistemology of communication in its possible thematic interfaces with culture, semiotics, architecture, the city and design.
