Abstract

The article presents the exhibition Tuku Iho | Living Legacy, organized by the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute. Stemming from an international itinerancy, we highlight two exhibits, respectively at the National Museum of Natural History (Smithsonian Institution, USA) and at Tom Jobim Space (Botanical Garden, Brazil). Based on the description of each exhibition, we highlight the refined concept of self-representative curatorship, which reinforces cultural values in dialogue with contemporary artistic languages, in addition to reinforcing human interactions.
