O mito de Sol e Lua: um comentário

Este artigo apresenta uma versão do mito de Sol e Lua ditada em língua timbira pelo craô José Aurélio ao etnólogo Julio Cezar Melatti nos anos 1960. Em julho de 2010, com o auxílio de José Miguel Kohjõ e de Edson Xôhtyc, a pronúncia das palavras indígenas foi corrigida e as lacunas da tradução preenchidas, permitindo aos linguistas Aryon Dall’Igna Rodrigues, Ana Suelly Arruda Camara Cabral e Maxwell Gomes Miranda isolar os morfemas em todo o texto. O mito indígena é composto por vários episódios, aos quais o narrador acrescentou mais três de Pedro Malasartes, personagem de conhecido conto popular brasileiro com o qual os craôs identificam Lua.Downloads
