Abstract

This article proposes to characterize the contemporary language teacher in three distinctive forming dimensions: as a professional who meets current demands and expectations; who thinks, who self-evaluates as a reflector and look for ways of overcoming obstacles; and who is called to teach under the post-structuralist communicational approach.
