Esse artigo apresenta parte de uma pesquisa de doutorado na qual investiguei a relação dos professores de história com a exposição do Museu de Artes e Ofícios em Belo Horizonte. Apresento as experiências sensíveis dos docentes no museu e discuto as escolhas que fazem para ensinar história. Afirmo que a potencialidade dos museus para o ensino de história está na forma que dispõe os objetos, imagens e legendas e analiso dados sobre as mediações oferecidas pelo museu aos docentes. Discuto que a educação museal passa pelas experiências sensíveis e que, portanto, os programas e projetos dos setores educativos são potentes para formação docente que é processual critica e reflexiva. Como método de pesquisa utilizamos questionários e entrevistas narrativas em contato com a exposição do museu.
