The aim of this article is to provide some insights into the concept of modernity in the work of the Danish thinker Søren Kierkegaard (1813-1855). Indeed, I shall argue that, notwithstanding the fact that such concept may not be present in his production, nevertheless its presence makes itself felt in various ways, which, in turn, turns his work into one of the most important i ntelectual contributions in terms of a critical reflection on modernity.
