A purificação pelo tempo
sobre a incorporação da ‘Katharsis’ por Hans-Georg Gadamer em ‘Wahrheit und Methode’

O artigo argumenta que, na ontologia da obra de arte presente em Wahrheit und Methode (Gadamer, 1960), há uma relação entre “katharsis” e tempo. Esta relação se caracteriza por uma marca temporal, de remissão ao futuro, inscrita por Gadamer no processo anímico da “katharsis” tal como ele o incorpora de Aristóteles, traduzindo-o por “Reinigung”. Para demonstrar isso, o artigo começa por recuperar alguns paralelos entre o tratamento do tempo na grande obra de Gadamer e na analítica existencial de Sein und Zeit (Heidegger); logo, examina aspectos da incorporação da Poética e da Retórica (Aristóteles) na ontologia da obra de arte de Gadamer; por fim mostra como é possível encontrar o traço temporal posto por Gadamer na “katharsis” por meio do exame das analogias e metáforas empregadas por ele na descrição do que chama de “Reinigung” enquanto o equivalente de “katharsis”. Conclui que, em WM, “katharis”/“Reinigung” é uma “purificação pelo tempo”.
