Jogo de xadrez:
representando a violência para crianças
Abstract
O tema da precariedade da linguagem face à tarefa de narrar eventos de extrema violência é onipresente na literatura que trata das barbáries contemporâneas. A pergunta “em que línguacontar a barbárie?” é ainda mais urgente quando o destinatário da narrativa é a criança. Como compatibilizar a densidade da matéria narrada com a legibilidade que se espera de um texto produzido para crianças? Que estratégias narrativas viabilizam relatar os aspectos mais terríveis do real para um público a quem a História convencionou proteger? Que imaginário se constrói sobre a criança na cena da catástrofe? Tais questões impulsionam a análise do premiado livro A redação, do escritor chileno Antonio Skármeta, que aborda o tema das ditaduras latino-americanas, a partir da perspectiva da criança.
