Voices of death in Flor de pedra, from João Carrascoza
Keywords:
memory; subjectivity; contemporary literature; authorshipAbstract
This essay examines the representation of death in João Carrascoza’s novel Flor de Pedra (2024). Drawing on a critical-poetic approach, it discusses how the narrative intertwines with personal experience, establishing a dialogue between literary interpretation and lived reality. By adopting an essayistic mode that merges analytical rigor with creative expression, the text proposes a form of criticism that challenges conventional boundaries between literary scholarship and creative writing.
