The following essay aims to minimally stimulate a reflection of Virginia Woolf's work as a possible production of philosophical reading from the written form 'essay' and the way the author links experimentalism with the theme of life. The chosen path was: (I) to present the “essay” form as the privileged one to approach creation and reflection, (II) the relevance of writing biographies as access to the past and imaginative freedom and (III) experimental writing as a way of account for different forms and experiences of different lives.
