This work analyzes the situation of architecture and poetry in the context of the fine arts from the considerations of three German philosophers: Immanuel Kant, GeorgW. Hegel and Arthur Schopenhauer. An attemptis made to understand why poetry is always in an elevated position within the hierarchy of the art system and architecture is always at the base of this hierarchy.
