Vol. 14 No. 1 (2024): RES 1-2024
There is a global digital war, led by symbolic transnationals, that affects us daily. There are genocides of neurons every day. Not realizing this only means that we are affected by it more than we can bear. We have to relearn how to think in order to start thinking on new grounds. There is a mental war that makes the colonized salute the lordly book. This attitude is so present in Brazilian universities that it is not even noticed. Instead of thinking about problems, authors from the metropolises delimit what to think: taken as a reference, they are suns for “reflection” on the colony (which calls itself a sovereign state, but is not). We are not proposing here to ignore what European or North American authors have published: the problem is in assuming that they are the dimension of what can be considered science, philosophy or art, when the fact that they want to control other countries while hiding this desire for domination prevents them from deepening their own thinking. Their point of view is not ours.
