The music director's perspective during the preparation of a contemporary opera

This paper is about my participation in the opera “Happy Hour”, by Marcus Mota. Both the preparation and rehearsals had the support of the composer himself, who also was the stage director. It is worthy of note that the collaboration between maestro and composer usually is prolific, bringing great results for the performance.
