Abstract

This article describes the experience of the creation process of the main character of the Legend of Tereza Bicuda. The decisive factor in reinterpreting the protagonist's image is to solve the problem that there are many versions of the narrative, but they differ greatly from each other, making it more difficult to have a solid idea of Tereza Bicuda's personality. The objective is to create a unique visual identity for the story through drawings and research based on theories related to character design. The result presents an account of the process that involves the author's creative experience, from the first concepts to the construction of the project's initial artwork.

Author Biography

  • Nicoly Rubia Bento dos Santos, Universidade Federal de Goiás

    Nicoly Rubia is a student in the final year of a Product Design degree at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), 22 years old and from Goiânia, Goiás. She currently works as a scholarship holder at the Information Technology and Educational Media Laboratory (LABTIME) at UFG, where she develops projects and research focused on innovation and technology. With skills and expertise in animation design, game design, scripting, character design, illustration, painting, and media product design, she aims to apply her creativity and technical knowledge to contribute to challenging environments. Her main goal is to continue learning and growing professionally, always seeking new ways to enhance her skills and positively impact the projects she is involved in.
