Abstract

This text is a translation of Markets on Periphery, available online in the Archive section of Cybernetic Culture Research Unit (CCRU) website, an experimental group active in the mid-1990 and early 2000s. It has no date or listed authorship, which preserves the group's anonymity and the consistent unity of its activities. The text explores the difference between peripheral market and capitalista market, drawing on the ideas of Fernand Braudel. It also presents a definition of the peripheral market as a space of spatial subvertion, unexpected encounters e spontaneous, experimentation, randomness, flows and a open feedback system.
