Filósofas da diferença sexual, como Adriana Cavarero, se dedicaram a pensar o que significa nascer de uma mulher. Nascer é ser introduzida a uma teia de relações que nos antecede, a experiência de gestar e ser gestada desafia a noção de subjetividade destacada da MATERia, dando abertura a uma ontologia do comum: no nascimento somos, no plural. Shulamith Firestone, entretanto, propõe uma experiência de pensamento: e se nascêssemos de máquinas, numa xenofamília (e não numa biofamília)? A presente fala pretende explicitar as noções de diferença sexual e ontologia que subjazem às duas propostas, compreendendo o nascimento em seu caráter cosmopolítico.
